If you are a landlord or planning to acquire a property to rent out, you’ll need a landlord certificate to prove that your property is gas safe. It is the legal duty of every landlord of a residential rental property to have safety checks carried out on the gas appliances they supply for the tenant to use. This has to be done every year and you should have an up-to-date gas safety certificate to prove that these checks have been completed.

HOW WE CARRY OUT INSPECTIONS

For landlord certificates to be issued, the property must be inspected by a qualified and registered engineer. Turners Plumbing & Heating Ltd’s heating engineers are Gas Safe registered, which makes them able to carry out the inspections properly and issue the certificates. We will check each gas appliance to see if it is working correctly and is safe to operate. We also check that chimneys and flues are operating safely too.
